Another Year Sweeter- Two Cheery Cherry Birthday Cards

Cards made using Papertrey Ink Still Life: Summer stamps and dies.

Happy Summer! I think cherries are one of the tastiest fruits in summer! And so cheery, too! I found the cute cherry-printed cardstock while I was going through my stash. I remembered having a stamp set that had cherries in it and realized it would go with the paper perfectly. The red gingham check is just right for an additional layer that highlights the cherry paper.

I used the Papertrey Ink Still Life: Summer stamp and die set to make the cherry clusters. Unfortunately, that set is no longer available. The scalloped panels are cut using Scrapbook.com Nested Vintage Labels. The lacy edging was made using one of the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders dies. For embellishments I added faceted red gemstones and a red bow made of embroidery floss. Lastly, I added glitter glue to the cherries to highlight them. I think the cards turned out really nice!

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you a happy week and a good end-of-summer!!
