Special Delivery: Creative Ways to Use Mail-Inspired Paper
Hello crafty friends! I’ve started working on setting up an inventory system for my stamps, dies, stencils, inks, etc. In the process I am realizing just how long I have had some of my supplies!! These two cards use supplies (stamps/dies/paper) from a Simon Says Stamp card kit dated July 2014! The stamps in the set are classic and timeless- different size envelopes and mail-related sentiments. Cards with this type of sentiment are useful for many occasions.
I started by using dark blue cards from a Paper Studio card set. These card sets have matching envelopes, which is nice!! Then I added panels of envelope-patterned paper from the Simon Says Stamp card kit. For the “Sending” card, I made a two-layer panel using Sizzix Framelits Label 125598 (retired) using red cardstock and the “hello” paper from the card kit. For the “hello” card, I trimmed the envelope and “hello” papers into rectangles and backed with dark blue cardstock. I die cut the sentiments and decorative envelopes for both cards to add to the panels. The hearts on the decorative envelopes are tiny die cuts that I covered in Spellbinders Glaze & Glue for shine.
I’m happy with how the cards turned out. And I’m using some older supplies! That’s a double win!! I’ll continue in my task of inventorying supplies and making cards. Hopefully, seeing all the supplies I have available will keep me out of a card-making rut!!
Blessings to all!
