Duoprinting with Chlorophyll Card

Duoprinting with Chlorophyll

August 18, 2023

This summer is passing so fast! Our local schools have been in session for a week now. I am enjoying my retirement and the fact that I don’t have to go “back to school”! I am finding plenty to keep me busy - building this blog and learning so much in the process, organizing my craft room and the house, volunteering at my church’s food pantry, spending time with family and friends, and taking the time to try out some new and different techniques in card making.

This card uses one of those new and different techniques - using pressed leaves to produce an image. I learned of the technique on Splitcoaststampers. Their Weekly Inkling newsletter highlights a technique and includes the tutorial as well as a video. This technique is Duoprinting with Chlorophyll. I used hydrangea leaves on watercolor paper when I tried the method.

I trimmed the leaf-printed watercolor paper and framed it with black cardstock. I attached the framed piece to a gold metallic card. The sentiment is gold-embossed on black cardstock. I added gold glitter dots as accents.

Well, it’s Friday! I hope you have a fun and wonderful weekend! Hopefully, our local heatwave will start to diminish soon!! Stay cool!
