Beach Fun Card Using My Cricut Maker
Beach card made with a Cricut assist
7/7/26
I’m a big, big fan of die cut images. But I can’t keep up with all the dies I would love to have. So - my Cricut Maker comes to the rescue!! I can find all kinds of images to use in place of individual dies. On this card, I used the Maker for the palm tree, beach ball, and flip flops. The two rectangle panels forming the center focal point are made using traditional dies from My Favorite Things with a double-stitched bordered edge. Sadly, My Favorite Things is no longer in business. I found a few items from MFT listed on Scrapbook.com and on Simon Says Stamp.
This card came about as I was working on using some 6×6 papers that I’ve had a long time. The cute beachball paper (background) and the dark blue panel with a wave pattern were part of my stash. And, since it’s summertime, a beach card was a natural outcome! I ink-blended the top panel with blue for water and sky, and with a light brown for the sandy area. Then I splattered with darker brown for sandy flecks. I wanted to have a beachball element along with a palm tree, and then flip flops were a natural addition. I finished by embellishing with Stickles glitter glue.
